Customizable Secchi Disk with Ruler

Useful for measuring the turbidity (cloudiness) of water. I use mine for measuring and tracking the density of my green water (microalgae) cultures. Basically you immerse the tool until you can no longer differentiate between the black and white disk segments, and measure the depth.

By default the disk has a 3cm (~1 inch) diameter, and the ruler measures up to 15cm (~6 inches).

I designed this tool to be 3d-printable, and I print to order, so I can customize the specific dimensions if you need or want a different size. Add any desired dimensions in the order note.

If you have white and black PETG filament you can also print your own! I released the design into the Public Domain under the Creative Commons Zero (CC0) license. There is a github repository with the default STL and the OpenSCAD files. You can also use this website I run cad.varunmehta.com to load the original model and customize it without having to download any software.
